Losing language, losing hearing, losing sight, losing feet on the ground, losing oxygen, losing mind, losing histories, losing memories… We blunder in making the voices heard, we write until it is officially preserved, we interrogate whether or not there is a last breath to hold, we retrieve it from the moment we forget, we translate when words lose meanings, we rehearse until it finally arrives. "Blunt Whistle" is a non-linear short film that reenacts and imagines my grandmother’s experiences of being isolated due to hearing and sight loss caused by cancer. This film touches on the histories that have been forgotten, discarded or misread.
语言的消逝，听觉的沉寂，视界的黯淡，大地脚下的虚空，氧气的枯竭，心智的流失，历史的消散，记忆的湮灭……我们跌跌撞撞地试图让声音被聆听，我们奋笔疾书直至文字得以永存，我们质问是否还有最后一息可以珍藏，我们从遗忘的瞬间追回过往，当词语失去意义时我们译出新生，我们反复排演直至真相终于降临。《钝哨》是一部非线性三频道短片，重现并想象了我祖母因癌症夺去听力与视力后陷入孤寂的心路历程。这部影片轻触那些被遗忘、被弃置或被误解的历史片段。
